  • Tech Trends in Government Organizations. What tech trends are government organizations following? Hear from government organizations, military branches, National Labs, and local government about where technology trends are heading and what these groups are investing in. (Kahiltna Ballroom)

Breakout Session 2 - Three tracks:

  • What can accelerators learn from each other? What can accelerators learn from each other? Join Isaac Vanderburg, managing director of Launch Alaska, along with leaders from accelerators and startup networks across the country, to determine how we can best work together and share lessons learned as this industry continues to grow worldwide. (Portage Boardroom)
  • What does Alaska have to offer startups and investors in the Food, Water, Transportation and Energy sectors? Why should you bring your startup to Alaska or invest in new technology here? Hear from industry leaders and startups about what value they see in Alaska within the food, water, transportation, and energy sectors. Learn what value propositions summit participants came up with in the earlier design thinking workshops on water and transportation. (Portage Salon)

  • Catalyzing Investment in Alaska. As we develop the tech entrepreneurship ecosystem in Alaska, it's critical that we learn not just what business models are successful in this constrained environment, but also viable for funders. What business models make our enterprises most viable for investors? For other risk capital? What makes a business scaling in less populated ecosystems appealing to investors? What successes have we seen in other small entrepreneurship ecosystems?  (Kahiltna Ballroom)

Lunch and tram ride to top of Mt. Alyeska - Take the tram to the top of Mt. Alyeska to experience the beautiful view and enjoy lunch at the Bore Tide Bar & Grill. From the tram, you can see for miles in all directions – including views of the Turnagain Arm, up to seven “hanging” glaciers, and endless peaks deep into the Chugach Mountain range. All attendees will receive one tram ride ticket and a $20 lunch voucher. Tram leaves every 15 minutes from Hotel Alyeska.

Activities and excursions - Enjoy the beautiful state of Alaska by participating in an activity led by startup founders and seasoned entrepreneurs. Learn more and select your activity including: hiking Winner Creek trail, hiking the North Face, biking to the the local brewery, or getting outside of Girdwood to visit Portage Glacier. 

Startup Alley Happy Hour - Meet Launch Alaska’s current cohort companies and alumni companies, as well as other high growth startups in the energy, food, water, and transportation space. Light appetizers and two drink tickets will be provided.

Dinner - Spend time with people you met throughout the day over dinner at one of Girdwood's many restaurants. The buses will provide transportation to Girdwood from the hotel for those who do not want to walk (~20 mins) or bike (~5 mins). Buses will depart from the Alyeska Hotel promptly at 9pm.
