Spend time with other summit participants on tours around Anchorage on Thursday morning and afternoon before Demo Day. Tours include a local food tour, a renewable energy tour, a farm tour, and a brewery tour. See more information below.

Join us for a half day tour of local food companies and farms in Anchorage. Visit a local artisan bakery and urban farm, Fire Island Rustic Bakeshop; tour the new kitchen space of a Launch Alaska alumni company, Heather’s Choice; check out the Wild Scoops test kitchen and sample their small batch ice cream; and walk through a vertical hydroponics farm, Alaska Seeds of Change.

Lunch and shuttle transport is provided. Your lunch will be based on your dietary restriction that you noted in your registration. Please meet at the Egan Center 10 minutes prior to the start of the tour. The tour will depart promptly at 8:45 am. We will shuttle between each location and return back to the Egan Center by 1:00 pm. Please bring comfortable walking shoes.

Join us for a renewable energy tour around Anchorage. Tour the Airport Heights Solarize project with local installers, Anchorage Solar. Visit Chugach Electric, the largest utility in Alaska to see their customer data dashboard in action. Visit a commercial solar installation with Arctic Solar Ventures.

Drive one hour north to Palmer to tour Alaska Pacific University’s Spring Creek Farm and learn what it takes to run a small farm in Alaska.

Join us for a tour of local breweries in Anchorage. This tour incorporates stops at King Street Brewing Company's new facility, a brand new kombucha startup - ZIP Kombucha, and Belgian beer focused Cynosure Brewing.

Transportation is included in the tour. Please meet at Egan Center 10 minutes prior to the start of the tour. The tour will depart promptly at 1:30 pm. We will drive between each location and return back to the Egan Center by 4:00 pm. Please bring comfortable walking shoes and a photo ID.
