He applies this academic training and his experience as a non-profit consumer advocate, a state energy specialist, and an energy consultant to his current initiatives.

Outside his efforts in the energy space, Tim spent 15 years leading courses with the National Outdoor Leadership School, teaching college students, business executives, and Naval Academy Midshipmen leadership and mountaineering skills. He also built and lived in an off-grid cabin where his son was born. Now, Tim lives in the heart of the Matanuska Valley with his son and two huskies. He loves chasing light with his camera for fun and clients. Tim also volunteers as a board member of the Hatcher Pass Avalanche Center and plays in the mountains and on the rivers in all seasons.
