Introducing Launch Alaska’s New Theory of Change: A Roadmap to 2035

It’s a pivotal time for Alaska’s energy, transportation, and industrial sectors, so we’re proud to unveil Launch Alaska’s new Theory of Change. This high-level framework connects our daily work to the long-term impact we seek: By 2035, as a result of Launch Alaska’s efforts, Alaska will be a leader in deploying innovative energy, transportation, and industrial technologies to create economic opportunity, reduce emissions, and foster resilient and prosperous communities.

The graphic below offers a snapshot of how we think about change at a systems level - how resources, partnerships and capital come together to accelerate technology deployment across the state. Behind this overview sits a more detailed internal plan, risks and mitigation strategies, and the narrative that guides our team’s work.

Why now? Because Alaska is uniquely positioned. We hold vast potential to lead in energy, transportation, and industry. Our Theory of Change helps us stay focused on bridging critical gaps - from capital access to geographic challenges to policy alignment - and on transforming innovation into deployment, and deployment into impact.

This Theory of Change will guide our internal strategic plan and keep us accountable to our bold 2035 goal. We’re excited to share the big picture here, and to continue working with partners across Alaska to bring this vision to life.
