How we work:
Founded in 2016 and based in Anchorage, Alaska, we’re a nonprofit focused on accelerating energy, transportation, and industrial technologies to help build resilient, sustainable communities.
We accomplish this in a few different ways. Our Tech Deployment Track is an eight-month accelerator program designed to help companies forge partnerships and identify projects in Alaska. Successful Tech Deployment Track graduates are invited to join the Launch Alaska Portfolio, where we offer continued support and connections to project opportunities in Alaska. At the same time, our Deployment Team works with Alaska asset and infrastructure owners to facilitate new deployment projects around the state. Our policy and advocacy efforts focus on nonpartisan advocacy, engagement and action to reach policy solutions that accelerate energy innovation.

Alaska and the Arctic have an incredibly important role in critical global conversations, and the development and deployment of sustainable energy, transportation, and industrial solutions.
The challenges we face in Alaska represent some of the defining global issues of this century: a thawing and newly accessible Arctic, microgrids and decentralized energy, community resiliency, energy costs and access, ocean vitality, national security, and the transition from an outmoded economy to one suited for the future.

Accelerating the energy transition means transforming systems of energy, transportation, and industry, so we’re looking for technologies that can increase sustainability and provide cost reductions in any of these three areas. Our big goal is to help support deployment of $1 billion in energy, transportation, and industrial tech projects in Alaska by 2030. These include important infrastructure projects, energy grid and transportation network upgrades, industrial development, and other projects. Learn more >
