Report: Ampaire Secures FAA G-1 for Hybrid-electric Propulsion System

Launch Alaska Portfolio company Ampaire has achieved an aviation industry milestone – a Federal Aviation Administration-approved G-1 Issue Paper (stage 4) for its AMP-H570 hybrid electric propulsion system.

“This milestone represents a critical step toward Supplemental Type Certification (STC) and positions Ampaire as a frontrunner in certifying hybrid electric aircraft propulsion for commercial use,” the company said in a statement. “Importantly, this milestone significantly reduces uncertainty in the certification pathway, removing risk and building confidence for those looking to operate or invest in the industry.”
